Getting Started
1

Create or Join a Circle

A Circle is your family group. One person creates it and becomes the Admin. Others join using the invite code or link.

2

Invite Family Members

Open the Members tab (or the "Invite your first family member" card on your home screen) and tap one of the one-tap share buttons โ€” WhatsApp, SMS, Share, or Copy link. Your invitee taps the link, sees a preview of your circle, and joins in under 3 taps โ€” no code to type.

3

Enable Notifications

Go to the Members section and tap Enable Notifications. This lets you receive location alerts, task reminders, and beep sounds.

4

Install as an App

On Android: tap the banner or browser menu โ†’ "Add to Home Screen". On iOS: tap Safari's Share button โ†’ "Add to Home Screen". You'll get a native-like app experience.

5

Set Up Location Alerts

Admin: go to the Location tab, tap + Add Place on the map, choose a member and location name (e.g. "School"). You'll get notified when they arrive or leave.

Frequently Asked Questions
๐Ÿ“ฒ How do I install CircleUs on my iPhone? +
iOS doesn't use the standard "Install" button - you add it through Safari's Share menu:

1. Open CircleUs in Safari (not Chrome or Firefox)
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen)
3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Tap Add in the top-right corner

CircleUs will appear on your home screen as a full-screen app. Note: you must use Safari specifically - other iOS browsers cannot install PWAs.
๐Ÿ“ Location says "User denied Geolocation" on iPhone - how do I fix it? +
On iPhone, location access must be enabled at two levels:

Step 1 - Enable for Safari:
Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Location Services โ†’ Safari โ†’ set to "While Using App"

Step 2 - Enable for the Website:
Open CircleUs in Safari โ†’ tap AA in the address bar โ†’ Website Settings โ†’ Location โ†’ Allow

Important: Location only works over HTTPS. If you see "Location requires HTTPS", make sure you're accessing the app at an https:// URL.
๐Ÿ‘ค How does the invitation flow work? +
Admin's side:
1. Go to Members (or use the "Invite your first family member" card on your home screen)
2. Tap a one-tap share button โ€” WhatsApp, SMS, Share, or Copy link. The invite link is pre-filled with a friendly message; no code to copy by hand.

New member's side:
1. Tap the link you received โ†’ CircleUs opens and shows a preview of the circle (name & who invited them) before asking for anything
2. New to CircleUs: enter name + password โ†’ you're in
3. Already have an account: enter your existing email + password โ†’ you're added to the circle
That's it โ€” joining is 3 taps or fewer, with no invite code to type.

Expired link? Invite links last 7 days. If yours expired, the new member sees a friendly message and we automatically nudge the person who invited them to send a fresh link.

Note: Each invite link is per circle. Anyone with the link can join, up to the member limit. If the circle is full, the inviter is prompted to upgrade for more seats.
๐Ÿ—‘ How do I remove a member from my circle? +
Admins only: go to Members โ†’ find the member row โ†’ tap the ๐Ÿ—‘ red delete button on the right side of their row โ†’ confirm the removal.

What happens when you remove a member:
โ€ข Their account still exists (they can join other circles)
โ€ข Their tasks are unassigned (not deleted)
โ€ข Their location history for this circle is cleared
โ€ข They cannot access the circle anymore

Note: You cannot remove yourself, and the last admin of a circle cannot be removed.
โš ๏ธ I see a duplicate member - how do I fix it? +
Duplicates can happen if the same member was added twice via + Add Member. To fix:

1. Go to Members
2. Tap the ๐Ÿ—‘ delete button on the duplicate entry
3. The app now prevents adding members with the same name or email in the same circle going forward
Why does location say "secure origins only"? +
Location requires HTTPS. On Render.com or any public deployment this is automatic. For local use, the app auto-generates a self-signed certificate - accept the browser warning once for your device, then location will work.
How do I reset a family member's password? +
Admins only: go to Members โ†’ find the member's card โ†’ tap โœŽ Edit โ†’ then ๐Ÿ”‘ Reset Password. A temporary password is shown on screen and emailed to them if SMTP is configured.
How many members can I have? +
Free plan: up to 10 members per circle. Pro: up to 25 members. Premium: up to 50 members. Upgrade on the Pricing page.
How do geofence alerts work? +
Admins define Places on the map (like "School", "Grandma's House"). When a member's location updates and they cross the boundary, the admin gets a push notification: "Emma arrived at School" or "Jake left Volleyball Practice". Events are also logged in Analytics.
What does the Beep button do? +
On the Location map, tap a member's marker then tap ๐Ÿ“ฃ Beep. They receive an urgent push notification with a long vibration pattern - designed to get attention even on busy phones.
How do task points work? +
Each task has a priority: Low (3 pts), Medium (10 pts), High (20 pts). When the task owner marks it complete, points are added to the Leaderboard. The Scoreboard shows who has earned the most points.
Can I promote another member to Admin? +
Yes! Admins: go to Members โ†’ find the member card โ†’ tap โœŽ Edit โ†’ use the Role selector to change them to Admin. A circle must always have at least one admin.
How do shopping recommendations work? +
CircleUs tracks what items you add to shopping lists over time. When you open a list, it surfaces frequently-added items that aren't currently on any active list - so you never forget milk again.
My profile photo isn't showing. What should I do? +
Make sure you're using the HTTPS URL of the app (not HTTP). Photo uploads are saved on the server - if you're switching between HTTP and HTTPS, the paths may differ. Also ensure the UPLOADS_DIR environment variable is set correctly on the server.
How do I deploy CircleUs for public access? +
You need: (1) a VPS like DigitalOcean or Hetzner ($6โ€“10/mo), (2) a domain name ($10/yr), and (3) Caddy or nginx as a reverse proxy with auto-SSL. Run the app with PM2 for process management. See the README for step-by-step instructions.
Is my data private? +
Yes. CircleUs is self-hosted - your data lives on your own server, not in the cloud. There are no ads and no third-party data sharing. Only your circle members can see your information.
โœ๏ธ How do I edit an event? +
Tap the โœ๏ธ pencil icon on any event card. The edit icon is visible to any member who is listed on the event (not just admins).

When you save changes, all other event members receive a push notification: "Event updated: [Title]".

Tip: To see the edit button, make sure you're listed as an attendee when the event was created.
๐Ÿ” Can tasks repeat automatically? +
Yes! When creating or editing a task, use the Repeat dropdown to set a recurrence:

โ€ข Daily - every day
โ€ข Weekdays - Monday through Friday only
โ€ข Weekly - same day each week
โ€ข Monthly - same date each month

You can also set a Due Time (e.g. 08:00) alongside a Due Date.
๐Ÿ“ Location notification keeps popping up repeatedly - how do I stop it? +
This was a bug where the "Sharing your location" toast was shown on every GPS update (every few seconds). It's been fixed - the toast now appears only once when you start sharing.

If you still see repeated notifications after this update, try clearing your browser cache or unregistering the old service worker: DevTools โ†’ Application โ†’ Service Workers โ†’ Unregister.
๐Ÿ’ฌ How does the Chat tab work? +
The Chat tab lets all circle members message each other in real time.

โ€ข Messages appear instantly for everyone - no refresh needed
โ€ข You'll see a typing indicator when someone is composing a message
โ€ข Tap ๐Ÿ“ท to send a photo directly in the chat
โ€ข Tap ๐Ÿ˜Š to open the emoji picker
โ€ข Messages are automatically deleted after 30 days to keep storage lean
โ€ข A badge on the Chat button shows unread messages when you're on another tab

Note: Chat history is not permanent - use the Photos tab for images you want to keep.
๐Ÿ“ฃ How do I send a Beep with a message? +
Tap the ๐Ÿ“ฃ button next to any member on the Location tab. A panel appears with quick-pick messages:

๐Ÿ“ž Call me! ยท ๐ŸŒ™ Good night! ยท ๐Ÿš— On my way! ยท โฐ Running late! ยท ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Dinner ready! ยท ๐Ÿ  Come home! ยท โœ… All good! ยท โ“ Where are you?

You can also type a completely custom message. The member receives an urgent push notification with your name and the message.
๐Ÿ  Can I give my circle a name and picture? +
Yes! Admins can customise the circle in the Members tab, under Circle Settings.

Tap the avatar ring to upload a photo (up to 4 MB). Type a new name in the text field and tap Save Name. The avatar and name appear in the circle switcher in the top header.
๐ŸŽ›๏ธ How do I set my default screen? +
Go to the Members tab and find My Preferences near the bottom. Open the Default screen on login dropdown and pick whichever section you want CircleUs to open to each time you sign in. The setting is saved instantly per user - it doesn't affect other circle members.
๐Ÿ“ฑ Can I customize the menu order? +
Yes! Go to Members โ†’ My Preferences โ†’ tap โœ๏ธ Customize next to "Menu order".

A drag-and-drop list appears with all available sections. Drag them into your preferred order - the first 6 items appear in the bottom navigation bar; the rest go in the "More" menu. Tap Save when done. Your order is saved per device and doesn't affect other members.
๐Ÿ˜„ How do I react to a chat message with an emoji? +
Mobile: Long-press (hold for ~0.5 s) any chat bubble to reveal a quick reaction bar with 8 emoji (๐Ÿ‘ โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ‘Ž). Tap one to react.

Desktop: Double-click any bubble to show the same bar.

Reactions appear as small chips below the bubble with a count. Tap your own reaction to remove it. Hover over a chip to see who reacted.
๐Ÿ”‘ What's the difference between "New Account" and "Join Circle"? +
New Account - Creates a brand-new CircleUs account and a new family circle with you as admin. Use this to start fresh.

Join Circle - Joins an existing circle. You need an invite code from the circle's admin. You can either create a new CircleUs account at the same time, or sign in with an existing one.

You cannot join someone else's circle without an invite code. This is by design to protect family privacy.
โœ… How do RSVPs and attendance work? +
Before the event: Tap โœ… Going, โŒ Can't go, or โฐ Late on any event card. A live summary shows how many people responded in each category - tap any pill to see the list of names.

After the event: Admins and event creators see a ๐Ÿ“‹ Attendance button. Tap it to mark each member as Present, Absent, or Excused. Tap "All Present" to mark everyone at once, then Save.
๐Ÿ†˜ How do I send or dismiss an SOS alert? +
Tap the red ๐Ÿ†˜ SOS button in the Members section to immediately broadcast an emergency alert to all circle members with your current GPS location.

After sending, buttons appear to send a follow-up message indicating the type of emergency (Fire, Car Accident, Violence, Injury).

Tap the โœ• button (top-right of the SOS screen) or โœ• Dismiss at the bottom to close the overlay and return to the app.
๐Ÿ“ Will my location keep sharing after I close and reopen the app? +
Yes - once you tap Share My Location, the setting is saved. When you reopen the app (or refresh the page), location sharing automatically restarts without asking again.

To stop sharing permanently, tap Stop Sharing in the Location tab. You can always restart it later.
๐Ÿ“Š How do Polls work? +
Polls let you put a question to your whole circle and collect votes in real time.

Creating a poll: Go to the Polls tab and tap + New Poll. Enter your question, add 2โ€“6 answer options, and tap Create. All circle members are notified instantly.

Voting: Any member can tap their preferred option. Results update live as votes come in - you can see the current tally at any time.

Closing a poll: The creator (or an admin) can close a poll when enough votes are in. Closed polls show the final result and remain visible in the Polls history.

Tip Use polls for quick family decisions like "Pizza or Sushi tonight?" or "Which weekend works for the trip?".
๐Ÿ“Š Can I edit or delete a poll after it's created? +
Polls cannot be edited once created (changing options after votes are cast would be unfair). However, the creator or an admin can close the poll at any time to stop new votes, or delete it entirely if needed.
What is a Bring List and how do I create one? +
A Bring List helps your circle coordinate who brings what to an event - a camping trip, BBQ, picnic, or any outing where responsibilities need sharing.

Creating a list: Tap the Bring List tab in the bottom navigation and tap + New List. Give your list a name and choose whether to start from scratch or use an existing template. Tap Create.

Adding items: Once the list is open, tap + Add Item in the action bar. Fill in the item name, assign an owner, pick a category (Food, Drinks, Equipmentโ€ฆ), quantity, and an optional comment. Tap Save.

Checking items off: Each item has a circular checkbox โ€” empty means pending, green with a checkmark means packed. Tap the checkbox to toggle status. Only the item's assigned owner and circle admins can toggle. The progress bar at the top of the card updates in real time for everyone.

Editing or deleting an item: Tap the edit button next to the checkbox. In the edit modal you can update any field, or tap Delete in the bottom-left to remove the item entirely.

Linking to an event: Tap Event in the action bar to link the list to a calendar event. The event badge then appears on the card so everyone knows which outing it's for.
Can I reuse a Bring List as a template? +
Yes! Once a list is set up the way you like it, tap ๐Ÿ“‹ Template in the action bar. Give the template a name and save it. Next time you create a new list, choose Use template and pick your saved template - all items will be pre-filled with their owners and categories so you only need to tweak what's different.
How do I link or change a bring list from the event screen? +
Open an event and tap the โ‹ฏ menu (or long-press the event card). In the action sheet you'll see a ๐Ÿ“‹ Bring Lists section.

If no list is linked yet, tap Create bring list for this event - the list will be automatically tied to the event.

If a list is already linked, you'll see its name and progress. You can tap Unlink to disconnect it, or tap ๐Ÿ”„ Change bring list to pick a different list from a dropdown of all your active lists.
How do I finish or archive a Bring List? +
When everything is packed and the event is over, tap ๐Ÿ—„๏ธ Archive in the action bar. The list moves to the Past Lists section (collapsed at the bottom of the Bring Lists screen) so it's out of the way but still visible for reference. You can also export the list to Excel (๐Ÿ“ค Export) before archiving to keep a record.
Does CircleUs automatically link Bring Lists to events? +
Yes! When you save a new calendar event, CircleUs checks if you have any active bring lists that aren't yet linked to an event. If it finds any, a sheet slides up asking which lists you'd like to connect to this event.

Just tick the lists you want to link and tap Link Selected. You can also skip this step and link manually later using the ๐Ÿ“… Event button in the bring list's action bar.
๐Ÿ‘ฅ How do I see who responded to an event? +
On any event card (in the day view or event list), look for the ๐Ÿ‘ฅ N responses โ€บ pill. Tap it to open a full response sheet showing every circle member, their RSVP status (โœ… Going, โŒ Can't go, โฐ Late), and who hasn't replied yet (shown as "โ—‹ No response").

This is visible to all circle members - not just the event creator. It's a quick way to see at a glance who's coming before the event.
๐Ÿ“ธ Can I sort photos in the gallery? +
Yes! At the top of the Photos tab, use the sort dropdown to choose:

โ€ข Newest first - most recently uploaded photos at the top (default)
โ€ข Oldest first - reverse chronological order
โ€ข By uploader - groups photos alphabetically by who uploaded them

Photos are also automatically compressed to โ‰ค 4 MB before upload, so you'll never see an upload fail due to file size.
โœฆ How do I use the AI Assistant? +
Tap the โœฆ sparkle button floating in the bottom-right corner of the app (above the nav bar). This opens the CircleUs AI chat panel.

Ask it real questions: the assistant reads your circle's actual events, tasks, polls, and upcoming birthdays and answers in plain language โ€” it can connect the dots, not just list them:
• "How's this week looking?" โ€” a real summary of what's coming up and what needs attention
• "Anything overdue, and who owns it?" โ€” names the tasks and the people responsible
• "Did we sort out Saturday dinner?" โ€” checks the open poll and tells you where it stands
• "Any scheduling conflicts this weekend?" โ€” spots events that clash
It answers only from your real circle data and will tell you when it doesn't know something โ€” it won't make things up.

Or ask it to do things:
• "Add milk and eggs to the shopping list" โ€” shows a confirm card, then adds to your active list
• "Create a task to call the plumber tomorrow" โ€” creates the task after you confirm
• "Schedule a dentist appointment for Friday at 3pm" โ€” creates a calendar event
• "Create a poll for where to eat Saturday" โ€” creates a poll with AI-suggested options

Confirm cards: Any action that creates data shows an editable confirmation card first. You can tweak the title, date, or other fields before confirming.

Credit quota: Free accounts get 30 AI credits per month โ€” up to 30 real AI answers (each question is 1 credit, fully reasoned over your circle's live data). Creating an event, task, list, or poll costs 3 credits each (1 to draft the confirmation card + 2 to save it). Pro and Premium get unlimited AI usage. Your remaining credits are shown in the chat header.
๐Ÿค– What is the Smart Circle Digest and how do I send it? +
The Smart Circle Digest is an AI-generated morning summary of everything happening in your circle - upcoming events, overdue tasks, birthdays, open polls, and grocery reminders. When sent, it posts as a message in your circle's Chat so everyone sees it at once.

To send a digest manually (App Admins only):
1. Go to Analytics โ†’ tap the Admin tab
2. Find the ๐Ÿค– Smart Circle Digest section
3. Tap ๐Ÿ“จ Send Digest Now to send to all circles immediately

๐Ÿ“‹ Viewing Digest History:
Tap ๐Ÿ“‹ View History in the Smart Circle Digest section to see every digest sent in the last 7 days - including the full text, context snapshot (events, tasks, birthdays included), AI token usage, and cost per digest. History is automatically purged after 7 days.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Automatic Daily Digest at 6:30 AM PRO / PREMIUM
Circle owners on Pro or Premium can enable a daily digest that sends automatically every morning at 6:30 AM in their chosen timezone:
1. Go to Circle Settings (the โš™๏ธ panel at the top of the Settings screen)
2. Find ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Daily Smart Circle Digest
3. Toggle it On and select your local timezone
The digest will skip days when there is nothing to report (no upcoming events, tasks, or birthdays).

Note This feature requires an ANTHROPIC_API_KEY to be configured on the server. Contact your administrator if the button appears inactive.
๐Ÿ’ก What are AI Insights in the Admin Dashboard? +
AI Insights is an admin-only section in the Analytics dashboard that analyses your circle's activity metrics and surfaces intelligent observations - such as low member engagement, high task overdue rates, or invite funnel drop-off.

Rather than just showing numbers, it interprets the data and explains what it means in plain language, along with suggestions for what to focus on.

To view AI Insights: Go to Analytics โ†’ Admin Dashboard โ†’ ๐Ÿค– AI Insights. Expand the section to see the current analysis. Tap โ†ป Refresh to regenerate with the latest data.
๐Ÿ“Š How do the Analytics sections work? +
The Analytics tab organises data into collapsible sections - Chat Activity, Member Activity, Location Events, Tasks, Groceries, Bring Lists, Polls, and more.

All sections start collapsed by default for a clean overview. Tap any section header to expand it, or use the โ–ผ Expand All button at the top to open everything at once. Tap again (now showing โ–ฒ Collapse All) to close them all.

Your expand/collapse choices are remembered for the current session - refreshing the page resets them back to collapsed.
๐Ÿ“ How do I set the right geofence size? +
When setting up a geofence place (Location tab โ†’ + Add Place), tap the map to pin the location. A live preview circle appears on the map showing exactly which area will trigger arrival/departure alerts.

Use the radius slider below the map to adjust the size - the circle updates in real time as you drag. For a school or home address, 100โ€“200 m typically works well. For a larger area like a park or shopping centre, try 300โ€“500 m.

Once the circle covers the right area, tap Set Place to confirm.
๐ŸŽฎ How do I access Game Time? +
Tap ๐ŸŽฎ Game Time in the bottom navigation bar. You'll see the game lobby with three games:

๐Ÿ”ข Mini Sudoku - A 6ร—6 logic puzzle. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard. Use pencil mode to take notes, undo moves, and race the clock.

๐Ÿ Snake - Classic Snake, optimised for touch. Swipe to steer, collect food to grow.

๐Ÿ“ Word Puzzle - A daily 5-letter word challenge (Wordle-style). One puzzle per day, shared across your whole circle.

Tap ๐Ÿ† Leaderboard from any game to see how everyone stacks up.
๐Ÿ”ข How do I play Mini Sudoku? +
Mini Sudoku is a 6ร—6 version of classic Sudoku - every row, column, and 2ร—3 box must contain the digits 1โ€“6 exactly once.

Controls:
Tap a cell, then tap a number (or press 1โ€“6 on keyboard). Tap the same number again to erase, or use Erase. Pencil mode lets you write small candidate notes. Undo steps back one move. Arrow keys move the selection.

Finishing a puzzle records your time - beat your best to climb the family leaderboard!
๐Ÿ† How does the games leaderboard work? +
Each game submits a score when you finish. Scores are stored per circle, so your family competes together.

Sudoku: fastest time wins. Snake: highest score wins. Word Puzzle: fewest guesses wins (ties broken by time).

Open the leaderboard from the ๐Ÿ† button in any game, or from the lobby. Scores reset monthly.

AI Insights

Intelligent observations about your circle's activity patterns

Available to admins in the Analytics โ†’ Admin Dashboard โ†’ ๐Ÿค– AI Insights section. The AI analyses engagement metrics across your circle and surfaces observations like low member activity, high task overdue rates, or invite funnel drop-off - giving you actionable context at a glance.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Use the Analytics section to see how often each member visited different places this month, track task completion trends, and spot overdue items at a glance. All sections are collapsed by default - tap any header or use Expand All to explore.
WhatsApp Nudges

Send Contextual WhatsApp Reminders

Free, no API required - opens your own WhatsApp

Hard Requirement โ€” Phone numbers must be saved
WhatsApp nudge buttons are only visible when a member has a phone number on file. If no phone is saved, the button is hidden entirely - there is no fallback.
How to add a phone number: Go to Members โ†’ tap a member โ†’ tap Edit Profile โ†’ enter their phone number including country code (e.g. +1 555 0123 or +972 50 000 0000) โ†’ Save. The nudge button will appear immediately on the next render.

The circle admin, event creators, task creators, and list creators can send personal WhatsApp reminders to members with a single tap. A preview of the pre-filled message is shown first so you can edit it before sending. No business account or API cost - it opens your personal WhatsApp with the message ready to send.

Where to find the nudge buttons:

RSVP Sheet - Tap the N responses โ€บ pill on an event. A green WhatsApp button appears next to each "No response" member who has a phone number. A Nudge all button at the bottom steps through each non-responder one at a time. Visible to the event creator and admins.
Overdue Tasks - A green WhatsApp button appears on overdue task cards that have an assigned owner with a phone number. Visible to the task creator and admins.
Bring Lists - When a list is expanded, a Remind owners to pack panel shows a chip per owner who has unpacked items and a phone number. Tap a chip to open the preview. Visible to the list creator and admins.
Polls - Open poll cards show a Nudge members who haven't voted panel with a chip per non-voter who has a phone number. Visible to the poll creator and admins.
The nudge message deep-links back to the exact spot in the app - RSVP sheet, overdue tasks, bring list, or poll - so members land exactly where they need to act.

๐Ÿ†• What's New & Release Notes

Latest Updates  v2026.06.15e

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Delete a circle you own NEW - Circle owners can now permanently delete a circle from the Circle screen. Deleting removes the circle and all of its data โ€” members, events, polls, lists, photos and more โ€” and frees up a slot under your plan's circle limit. You'll be asked to retype the circle name to confirm, since it can't be undone.
๐Ÿ”— Share a link to any event NEW - Open an event and tap Share to send a link by text, WhatsApp, or anything else. When the recipient opens it, CircleUs takes them straight to that event - signing in and switching to the right circle first if needed.
๐Ÿ“‹ Only the organizer takes attendance NEW - Attendance is now taken by the person who created the event (or a circle admin for older events without an organizer), starting one hour before it begins. The "Take Attendance" button only appears for them, so two people can't record conflicting rolls.
โœ… See who showed up, right in the event NEW - Open any past event and you'll now see an Attendance summary - a present / absent / excused tally plus each member's status. If attendance was never taken, the organizer gets a one-tap prompt to fill it in.
๐Ÿ“Š Attendance analytics now lists every class FIXED - Circle Analytics โ†’ Past Events - Attendance was collapsing a repeating event (like a weekly class) into a single row, so recent sessions - including yesterday's - went missing. Each past occurrence of a recurring event now shows as its own dated row with its own attendance.
๐Ÿ”ต Circle is now the first menu item NEW - The bottom and side navigation now lead with Circle (your members), so the people in your circle are always one tap away. The rest of the menu order is unchanged.
๐Ÿ“‹ "Take a roll" is now "Take Attendance" NEW - The attendance button on events and classes now reads "Take Attendance" everywhere, making it clearer what it does.
๐Ÿ“ Location: Members & Geofences are visible right away FIXED - On the Location screen the Members list and the Geofences panel were collapsed by default, so it looked like nothing was there. Both sections now open automatically when you arrive, and you can still tap their headers to collapse them.
๐ŸŒ™ Dark mode: Game Time cards, filter pills & list tabs fixed FIXED - In dark mode the Game Time cards were drawing pale boxes around every label, the task filter pills (All Tasks / Created by Me) showed up white-on-white, and the Groceries / Bring / Tasks switcher sat on a light strip. These all came from light borders and backgrounds that weren't darkened โ€” they now use dark surfaces so everything reads clearly.
๐ŸŒ™ Dark mode: calendar controls & Photos tab fixed FIXED - In dark mode the calendar view switcher (Upcoming / Month / Week / Day), the month date bar, and a hovered Photos tab were showing light text on a leftover light background, making them unreadable. Those controls now use a dark surface so the labels are clearly visible.
๐ŸŒ™ Dark mode is readable again FIXED - Event, task and list titles were rendering in near-black on the dark background, making them almost invisible. Titles and headings now switch to light text in dark mode so everything is clearly legible.
๐Ÿ”— Closed polls & completed tasks stay linked to their event FIXED - An event's Polls and Tasks tabs now keep showing polls that have closed and tasks that are already done, so the link to the event is never lost once they wrap up.
๐Ÿ“Š Edit a poll you created โ€” including reopening it NEW - The poll's creator (or an admin) can now edit a poll's title, audience and closing date โ€” push the closing date into the future to reopen a poll that had already closed. Options stay locked once voting has started so no votes are ever lost.
๐Ÿ  One clear setup card on Home NEW - Home no longer stacks several banners at once. You now see a single, prioritized setup card (invite, install, verify, notifications) so it's obvious what to do next.
โœจ Clearer AI Assistant button NEW - The floating assistant is now a labeled "AI" pill instead of a bare icon, so it's obvious what it does.
โšก Faster way to add event prep NEW - The "Add Prep Tasks" sheet now leads with one-tap quick checklists, so the fastest path is front-and-center, with custom and link options just below.
๐Ÿงน Tidier lists & better readability NEW - Collapse / Expand on Groceries, Bring, Tasks and Polls is now a compact control instead of big full-width buttons, more Hebrew is translated, and low-contrast text (including dark mode) was darkened/lightened to meet accessibility contrast standards.
๐Ÿ“… Tap the event chip on a grocery list FIXED - The ๐Ÿ“… event chip on a grocery list is now tappable and opens that event's details, instead of just collapsing the card - matching how it works on Bring lists, polls and prep tasks.
โœ… Event prep tasks show immediately FIXED - An event's Tasks tab now lists its prep tasks the first time you open the event, instead of showing "No prep tasks yet" until you'd visited the Tasks section.
๐Ÿ›’ No more duplicate items FIXED - Adding an item that's already on a Grocery or Bring list no longer creates a second row. You get a quick prompt to merge the quantities (e.g. Eggs 1 + 1 โ†’ 2) or add it separately if it's genuinely different.
๐Ÿ”Ž Search your lists & tasks NEW - Groceries, Bring, and Tasks each have a live search box at the top. Type to instantly filter by list name, item, task, owner, or linked event - matching lists auto-expand so you jump straight to what you need.
โœ… Tap a prep task to open it NEW - Prep tasks listed on an event's details are now tappable and jump straight to that task in the Tasks tab (with a highlight), just like the Supply and Poll links.
๐Ÿ“ Nearby places without setup FIXED - "What's nearby" now finds hotels, restaurants and attractions around any event location out of the box, sorted by distance. If an event has no location yet, it tells you instead of showing an empty screen.
โœ… Add or link prep tasks to an event FIXED - The "Add Prep Tasks" button on an event now opens a working sheet where you can create a custom task, pick from quick templates, or link an existing task to the event.
๐Ÿ›’ Pick which AI grocery items to add FIXED - AI grocery suggestions now open a multi-select picker so you choose exactly what gets added (instead of auto-filling everything), skip items you already have, and added items are tagged with a +AI chip.
๐Ÿ›’ One grocery list per Bring list FIXED - Tapping "Grocery" on a Bring list now reliably opens (or creates) the single grocery list tied to that Bring list - no more duplicate lists. Items added this way stay on both and show a +Bring tag.
๐Ÿ“Š Event polls appear instantly FIXED - A poll you create with an event now shows on the event's Polls tab right away, without needing several refreshes.
๐Ÿ“… Jump to the linked event from anywhere NEW - Bring lists, polls and prep tasks that are tied to an event now all show the same tappable ๐Ÿ“… chip that opens that event's details. Tasks created from an event's "Add Prep Tasks" now remember the link, and every back-link looks and behaves the same.
๐Ÿ“ฃ Send Alert (Beep) works again FIXED - The alert button next to a member on the Location tab now opens the message picker and sends the beep correctly. It was silently failing to respond before.
๐Ÿ›’ Shopping suggestions restored FIXED - "Recommended for you" on shopping lists no longer errors out and again suggests items your circle buys often.
๐Ÿ“Š Event polls always show FIXED - A poll attached to an event now appears on the event's Polls tab even right after you create it, without needing to open the Polls section first.
๐Ÿ›’ Bring & Grocery fixes FIXED - When you take an item or assign an owner on a Bring list, it now sticks after a refresh. "Add it to your grocery list" now puts the item on one shared grocery list for the whole group, the grocery picker opens as a proper centered dialog, and the Add Item form no longer closes when you press Enter while typing a quantity.
๐Ÿ“Š Poll links appear instantly FIXED - A poll linked to an event now shows on that event's details right away for everyone, instead of taking a while to appear.
๐Ÿ” Repeating classes now show on every date NEW - A recurring event (e.g. a Tue/Fri yoga series) now appears on each of its days in the month, week, and day views - even when the series started in a previous month - so you can open any single class to take roll for that exact session.
๐Ÿ“‹ Take Roll, reimagined NEW - Taking attendance is now one tap per person (โœ… Present / โŒ Absent / ๐Ÿ”” Excused) with a live count and a "Take Roll" shortcut right on the event. Roll opens from 1 hour before start. For repeating classes you can record each session separately and the calendar shows a โœ… done chip once you've taken roll.
๐Ÿ“Š Series attendance summary NEW - For a recurring class (e.g. a Tue/Fri yoga series), tap "View series summary" to see overall attendance %, the top attender, and who has missed the most sessions. You can also just ask the AI Assistant: "How was attendance for yoga?"
โœฆ AI voice & natural-language commands NEW - Tell the AI Assistant what you want in plain language and it does it: "Set up dinner tonight at 7pm and invite Mom and Sarah" creates the event and resolves the invitees by name; "Ask Daniel to take out the bins tomorrow" creates an assigned task. Matched members show as editable chips on a confirmation card before anything is saved. Free plan now includes 30 AI credits per month; Pro and Premium are unlimited.
๐ŸŽฎ Game Time - Play daily word puzzles and Snake with your circle. A leaderboard tracks who has the best scores over 7, 30, or 90 days. Premium feature.
๐Ÿ’Ž Updated plans & pricing - Free plan supports 3 circles and up to 10 members per circle. Pro supports 20 circles and 25 members/circle. Premium supports 50 circles and 50 members/circle. New monthly billing option added alongside annual (save 33%).
๐Ÿ“Š Per-member attendance drill-down PREMIUM - In Analytics โ†’ Past Events, Premium members can now tap any event to expand a full per-member attendance breakdown: โœ… Present, โŒ Absent, and โ“ Not recorded - including notes.
๐Ÿ” Recurring edits - When editing a recurring event or task, a sheet now asks whether to update this occurrence only or all events in the series - so you can adjust a single instance without affecting the full schedule.
๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Poll voter picker - The "specific members" voter selection for polls now uses the same dropdown picker as events (coloured dots + scrollable list), making it easy to select voters in large circles.
๐Ÿ’ฌ WhatsApp Nudges - Circle admins and event/task/list/poll creators can now send contextual WhatsApp reminders directly from the app - no API cost, no setup.
๐Ÿ‘ฅ RSVP Response Sheet - Tap the "N responses โ€บ" pill on any event to see a full list of who responded, their status (going / can't go / late), and who hasn't replied yet.
๐Ÿ“‹ Bring List auto-link - When you save a new event, CircleUs automatically offers to link any unlinked bring lists to it.
๐Ÿ“ธ Photo compression & sorting - Photos are now automatically compressed to โ‰ค 4 MB before upload. Gallery supports sorting by Newest, Oldest, or By Uploader.
๐Ÿ“Š Analytics: collapse / expand all - Every section in Circle Analytics and the Admin Dashboard is now collapsible.
๐Ÿ“ Geofence radius preview - A live preview circle appears on the map as you drag the radius slider when setting up geofence places.
