Pricing FAQ

Is Family Free really free forever? +

Yes. No credit card required, no time limits. Family Free gives you everything a small family needs — location sharing, calendar, tasks, shopping, photos, and geofence alerts for up to 5 members.

How does billing work? +

Family Pro is billed monthly at $6/month or annually at $60/year (save $12). Email us at sales@circleus.app to set up your subscription. We'll send you an activation code to upgrade your circle.

Can I cancel anytime? +

Yes. Cancel any time by emailing us. If you cancel a yearly plan, you keep Pro access until the end of your billing period. Your data is never deleted — you simply revert to Free limits.

What happens if I go over the free member limit? +

Existing members are not removed. You'll just be unable to add new members until you either upgrade to Pro or remove an existing member. Admins see a clear message explaining the limit.

Is CircleUs self-hosted? +

Yes. CircleUs is designed to run on your own server — giving you full control over your family's data. Hosting costs (typically $6–10/month for a VPS) are separate from the CircleUs license. See the Help page for deployment instructions.

Do you sell or share my family's data? +

Never. CircleUs is privacy-first. Your data lives on your own server. We have no access to your location data, messages, photos, or any other family information. There are no ads and never will be.
